September places, and how the waiting list really works

We hold 46 places a day across three rooms, and every September a cohort leaves for school and the whole building shuffles up. Here is the order we work in.

Who gets offered first

Siblings of children already here, then children already at Little Acorns needing extra days, then the waiting list in date order. There is no queue-jumping and no fee for joining the list.

How long the wait is

Acorns is usually three to six months. Saplings and Oaks move with the September intake and can be immediate in the autumn term or a year away in the spring. Full days midweek are the hardest to get; Mondays and Fridays are easier.

If we cannot help

We will say so, and we will tell you which of the other Marbury settings has space, because a family stuck on four waiting lists is no use to anyone. Two of them are good and we are happy to name them on the phone.

Joining the list

Come and visit first — we do not take names from people who have not seen the place. Wednesdays at 9.30am and 2pm, or the open morning on the second Saturday of the month. Call the office on 01632 960240.
